Radiation level at Fukushima-1 again exceeds norm

The radiation level at Japan’s Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant has again risen to a dangerous level, Tokyo’s power company, operating the nuclear power plant, has informed the country’s government.

Earlier, the IAEA reported that the radiation level at the plant had dropped to normal.

Fukushima-1 was shut down after the disastrous earthquake on March 11. As a result of the tremors there was a breach in the cooling systems of a number of reactors. This led to an increase in the radiation level in the vicinity of the nuclear power plant on March 12th and 13th.
