Videoconference Moscow-Delhi announcing the International environmental forum for civil journalists “EcoBlogy” in Moscow on April 18-19, 2011.
Organizers of the Forum – Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program (IFP), Russia, and Information Agency “RIA Novosti”.
Forum Partners – WWF Russia, Association of Environmental Journalists, Russian branch of International Association of Business Communicators.
The Forum’s target is establishing an international community of civil and professional journalists for communication and experience exchange on ecological issues. This unique project will promote lightening and solving environmental problems in various regions both in Russian and English blogospheres.
Over 60 IFP alumni from Russia, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, China, Thailand, the Philippines, Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, South Africa will take part in the forum.
Many of them acquired the second higher education in journalism and ecology thanks to the fellowship program.
The guests of the videoconference will discuss urgency, principles and possible forms of the international community. They will also propose the most important from their point of view eco-topics amending the agenda of the coming Forum. The participants are welcome to share their thoughts on the consequences of the natural disaster in Japan for the global ecological situation.
These and other questions will be dwelt upon during the discussion.
