Russia’s news and information agency RIA Novosti will soon open an official bureau in Minsk – the necessary documents have already been handed over to the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.
“RIA Novosti wants provide rapid and full-fledged coverage of all of the aspects of the functioning of the Russia-Belarus Union State and Russian-Belarusian relations, we are also ready to help our Belarusian colleagues integrate into the new modern media world,” RIA Novosti editor-in-chief Svetlana Mironyuk said.
This will be RIA Novosti’s seventh office in the post-soviet space, after Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia and Moldova, and the agency has correspondents in all former Soviet states.
