RUSAL to up exports of aluminum alloys to automakers 33% in 2011

MOSCOW, Jul 28 (PRIME) — Russian aluminum giant UC RUSAL plans to increase primary aluminum alloys exports to the automobile industry by 33.3% on the year to 240,000 tonnes in 2011, the companys representative told PRIME Thursday.

Aluminum alloys exports account for 24% of the companys total alloys exports.

The exports mainly go to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, the U.S., and Europe.

RUSAL is the worlds largest producer of aluminum, accounting for about 10% of the global production of aluminum and 10% of global alumina output.
