Russia lifted on Friday an entry ban imposed earlier this week on Ukrainian journalist Mykola Hryenko, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
“The Russian side notified us that he could travel to Russia unhindered,” foreign ministry spokesman Oleh Voloshyn was quoted as saying by Ukraine’s Unian state news agency.
Hryenko traveled to Moscow to cover a memorial service at the city’s Mitino cemetery dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The Russian Foreign Ministry said he was going to enter territory with limited access to foreign nationals.
