Russian Police Detain over 100 Vietnamese Illegals

Police discovered 142 undocumented migrant workers from Vietnam who were making clothes in the Moscow region, Russia’s Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.

“None of them had work permits,” the statement said, adding that none were in Russia legally.

“As it turned out the workers were living at the clothing factory where they worked. They never left the premises. Unidentified people delivered food for them,” the statement says.

It is the second major haul of Vietnamese illegals in as many weeks. In mid-August police discovered some 1,200 Vietnamese illegals in Moscow Region sewing knockoffs under the Louis Vuitton, Emporio Armani, Lacoste, and Chanel brands.
