Russia’s flagship carrier Aeroflot has cancelled all its Saturday and Sunday flights to New-York and back due to hurricane Irene which has approached the U.S. coast, Aeroflot spokeswoman Irina Dannenberg said.
“We are cancelling our Saturday and Sunday flights to the United States,” Dannenberg told the Prime news agency.
Irene, a category two hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale, is expected to make landfall on Saturday morning in the state of North Carolina and reach New York in late on Saturday or early on Sunday.
