The capitalization of Russia’s stock market has exceeded $1.1 trillion, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said in his annual address to parliament on Wednesday.
“As regards the Russian stock exchanges, they joined the global leaders in terms of index growth. The capitalization of our stock market by early 2011 exceeded $1 trillion. By mid-April 2011 it increased by yet another $100 billion,” Putin said.
“It’s the best result among BRICS countries,” he said.
