Russia’s Maria Sharapova has won a spectacular victory over fellow Russian Dinara Safina at the international tennis championships in Indian Wells, the US.
The two ex number one tennis players were in match 1 hour 1 minute.
Sharapova will now play Peng Shuai of China in the quarterfinals.
Russia’s Alisa Kleibanova had to quit having lost to Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark.
