Unknown gunman shoots 3 in car in North Caucasian region.

MAKHACHKALA, July 28 (Itar-Tass) – An unknown gunman opened gunfire at three young men riding in a Lada Priora small car.

The incident occurred at around 19:50 Moscow Standard Time in Makhachkala, the capital of the North Caucasian region of Dagestan.

Police sources said gunfire was opened near a school building on Imam Shamil Prospekt avenue.

Emergency medicine crews and police operatives had arrived at the spot of crime by the time of reporting.

Eyewitnesses said a man in the uniform of a security guard running away towards the city’s bedroom community districts had been seen near the site of the crime.

Earlier in the day, one person was killed during a mass brawl with the use of firearms in a village in the Akhty district in southern Dagestan, sources at the regional Investigations Committee told Itar-Tass.

Another six people were wounded in the same incident.

“About ten cars with residents of nearby villages arrived at the spot where the brawl had begun and some of them started using firearms as the scandal kept snowballing,” a source said.
