Nikita Khrushchev was very fond of JFK says granddaughter

Former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev’s granddaughter has said that her grandmother was very fond of former President John F. Kennedy and she was not the only one in the family who was impressed with him.

Nina Khrushcheva spoke on the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy’s assassination to dispel myths about the Kennedy-Khrushchev relationship, the Huffington Post reports.

She said that Khrushcheva was initially unimpressed with Kennedy due to his age, but he actually had a great affinity for him.

Khrushcheva also revealed that her grandmother wrote a personal note after Kennedy’s assassination and personally brought it to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow to express her own tragedy, as she was very fond of Kennedy and his wife. (ANI)
